Kalashnikov drones will patrol Gazprom’s pipelines in 2018

The enterprise of the concern, engaged in the production of drones, won a tender for performing flights on unmanned aerial vehicles for air patrolling of pipelines, the Rostek website reported.

The drones developed by the Kalashnikov concern will begin to patrol the gas mains of Gazprom already in 2018, and they can be met in Makhachkala, Stavropol, Saratov, Krasnodar, Volgograd, Surgut, Kazan, Ufa, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Tomsk and Tchaikovsky.

Drones created by ZALA AERO GROUP were developed to perform various tasks. They, depending on the model, can carry out aerial and video shooting, maintain video communication at a distance of 15 to 150 kilometers.

Unmanned aerial vehicles can be equipped with a navigation system with inertial correction (GPS / GLONASS), an integrated digital telemetry system, navigation lights, a hold and active tracking module, a digital integrated camera, a radio range-finder, a self-diagnosis system and various sensors: humidity, temperature and current.
